A closed old quarry located approx. 1 km west from the southern buildings of the village of Henryków, the road to the quarry along the fishing ponds. Located on the northern slope of a vast, flat hill 242 m. The gneiss exposure is located just behind the farm buildings.

The gneisses from the quarry are part of the Stachów complex, together with the Strzelin complex (mainly gneisses and quartzites) they form a geological unit called the Strzelin massif. Within the Strzelin massif there is an important boundary between the two terranes (blocks of the Earth's crust) Brunovistulicum and Moldanubikum. The rocks of the Strzelin complex are included in the Brunovistulicum, and the Stachów rocks into the Moldanubikum (Oberc-Dziedzic et al., 2005).
