Quartz vein exploited in the past in two small quarries on the North side (Księżyk - Germ. Pfarberge)and East side (Biały Kamień - Germ. Weisse Steinrücke) of Nowa Kamienica village (German: Neukemnitz), forming an elongated hump in the morphology of the terrain for a length of about 1.3 km.
Quartz vein occurs among the Izera granitic gneisses that build the range of latitudinal hills, known as the Kamienica Upland. These granitic gneisses together with mica schists constitute a series of northern, metamorphic envelope of the Karkonosze granite block.
