Verineset steinbrudd, Offersøya, Altstahaug, Nordland, Norge
A 35 m wide zone of marble, probably related to the marble quarried at Marken. The marble was used for agricultural purposes and as filler/coating in the paper industry.
The NGU coordinates are for a spot in the middle of the bay. Aerial pictures at kart.1881.no indicate the presence of quarries at 5.876961041,12.5091683865 and 65.875404373,12.510048151.
