Marble quarry opened in 1981 on the western slope of Rocca Bianca.
The marble extracted in this quarry belongs to the polymetamorphic basement of the Dora-Maira Massif (Borghi et al., 1984) and shows an alternation of white (pure carbonate), green (due to the presence of small tremolite crystals), and grey (due to a grain size reduction of calcite) layers.
