Alteration: Silicification, Argillization

Deposit: Boldly outcropping silicified structure cutting andesite wall rocks. Outcrop is silicified and iron-oxide stained, vuggy in places, partially leached and locally displaying boxwork structures. The fault-vein may be the great eastern vein system referred to by schrader (1947). The country rock is andesite and the veins appear to be rhyolitic in part. The vein/andesite contact zone has been altered in part to a white argillite.
