An U-Cu occurrence/prospect located in the W½ sec. 31, T8N, R15E (??) about 1 mile W of the southern end of Squaw Mesa, and about 3¼ miles W of Cow Flat Mountain, on National Forest land. Owned by Mr. Melvin Stockman(1953). NOTE: The MRDS file gives a range value of R15E. This is in obvious error since it would place the location in the Globe area, to the E. The correct value should probably be R13E, consistent with the coordinates provided.
Mineralization is an irregular ore body hosted in the Dripping Springs Quartzite. The ore zone is 3.66 meters long and 0.52 meters thick. Radioactivity: Background 0.05-0.07 mr/hr, max 5.5 mr/hr.
