A former underground Ag-Pb-Au-Cu-In-Zn-As (trace) mine located in the SE¼NW¼NW¼ sec. 14, T23N, R18W, G&SRM, 2.5 miles SE of Chloride, on private land. The property is comprised of 9 patented claims. Previous owners and operators included George A. Beebe and William S. Murphy. Owned by the Indium Corporation of America, New York (1965). This mine is of the same name as USGS MRDS ID #M004211, yet it is a separate mine and location. Some Indium has been recovered from ores of this mine.
Mineralization is a vein deposit hosted in Neoproterozoic Ithaca Peak granite. The ore body strikes N60W and dips 86NE. The mineralization is associated with a Lower Cretaceous porphyry intrusion. Associated rock is the Copper Basin stock. Local rocks include Early Proterozoic granitic rocks.
Regional geologic features include Precambrian schistosity that strikes N30E. Veins, fissures and dikes strike NW to NNW regionally.
Workings include underground openings comprised of a 300 foot deep shaft, 260 feet of drifts at the 100, 200 and 300 foot levels.
