Deposit: The district was discovered in 1869; in 1871 and again in 1917-19 lead, silver, copper, and zinc ore was shipped. The knob hill (long canyon) mine is located in upper long canon, on the west side of the canon. It is developed by 2 adits, in the combrian limestone. The ore occurs in quartz-calcite veins up to 5' wide, that strike NW, and dip SW. Quartz-calcite veins
