Copper skarn
Structure: Granodiorite Stock With Assoc. Faults, Fractures
Deposit: Intrusive contact of sills & cross-dikelets. Ore at bottom of shaft averages 4.78% Cu, and is said to have as high as 8 oz/t Ag and $10-12/t Au. (1912) the mine is opened by a shaft and a tunnel, which is in granodiorite just under the quartzite. Three or more granodiorite sills apparently follow the bending of the sedimentary rocks and crop out on the surface. In places the sills are connected by cross-dikelets. In the bottom of the shaft, the ore averages 4.78% cu (schrader, 1936, p 29) the mine is said to contain As high As 8 oz/ton ag, and $10.00-12.00/ton Au mineral survey no 3959 (schrader, 1912, p 113) ; info.src : 1 pub lit
