Deposit: Turquoise occurs As nodules and seams and is of very good color the stampede mine operated prior to 1968, As an open pit approx. 70 ft. Long and 40 ft. Wide. Total production of turquoise is less than $500,000

Geology: Turq occurs As nodules and seams, is very hard and of good color. Turquoise also occurs As float in gullies, and was recovered during the early working of the gold placers.
