Garnet-enriched zones associated to carbonate-silicate rocks (formerly and locally called "calciphyres") outcrops along the southern side of "La Colmetta", west of Colloro (Premosello-Chiovenda) and north of San Rocco hamlet, at about 300 to 550 m a.s.l. These rocks are in close spatial, if not genetic as well, relationships with the ultramafic intrusive body of Premosello-Colloro, belonging to the so-called "Ivrea-Verbano Zone".
The toponym "Sasso Bianco" is reported in the referenced text book, likely the first official report of such findings. In same mineral collections, specimens from this locality are labelled as from "Colloro" or "Premosello".
Provided coordinates are based on site survey (tied to satellite image) but are higly approximated (please consider some hundreds meters as a search radius)
