A former underground Au-Ag-Pb-Cu-Sb mine located about ½ mile NW of the Golden Gem Mine. Started in the 1860's and owned by the Cerbat Mining Co. Operated 1901 through 1948.
Mineralization is a 2 foot wide vein that strikes NW-ward and dips 80º NE and occurs in altered chloritic schist. The vein contains quartz and ore minerals. Lead-bearing ore occurs only above the 200 foot level.
Workings include 2 shafts at 50 feet and 90 feet deep, respectively (1881); later at least one shaft was sunk to the 300 foot level and 800 feet of drifts were developed (1907).
