Bauxite deposits as subhorizontal stratiform lenses in a dolomite karst. Mining 1887-1985.

"(Coming from La Roquebrussanne). From the latter city to the north of Toulon on the D5, take the D64 to Mazaugues. After leaving the locality, on the left side of the D64, there are two quarries. After another 5 km, a road leads to two others. On the D95, northeast of the locality, and until the Montagne de la Loube, there are again 3 quarries on the left. All of them produce bauxite of various compositions and colours." [Belot, 1978]
