Other/historical names associated with this locality:
NBMG Sample Site No. 3594
Deposit: The veins were described as being oxidized to cavernous quartz with limonite and cerargyrite, native silver, jarosite, anglesite, chrysocolla and malachite. The host rocks consist of chert, quartzite and limestone of the Triassic age.
Development: Discovery date unknown. A NE W road, a 650 foot shaft with levels at 100 foot intervals and a 130 foot winze from the 600 level. The property consists of two patented and four unpatented claims; econ.com: its peak production from 1922-1940. The mine was being worked at the time of the survey.
Geology: The workings follow a nearly-vertical, much-faulted, east-west vein system that ranges in thickness from a few inches to 3 feet; geol. descr.: veins mostly rusty quartz. In chert and quartzite.
Ore(s): Faulted veins occur along a nearly vertical East West trending shear.
