This group consisted of about 15 claims covering a butte beside the Muddy River. The claims were located in April 1950.
The Moss Back is the host rock of the uranium deposits of the Dirty Devil mines.
As of 2006 the site included a habitation structure, an outhouse, a dugout/powder magazine, 12 adits, 2 waste piles, an ore car trestle, scattered trash, and an ore chute.
