A former medium-output Zn-Cu-Ag-Au-Pb-wollastonite occurrence/mine located in East-central sec. 32, T11S, R8E, G&SRM, 4 miles NW of Silver Bell. 110 total claims of which 11 are patented. First produced 1915. Closed 1964. Owned at times, or in part, by the Atlas Mining Company; Atlas Mines, Incorporated; and the B.S. & K. Mining Company.

Mineralization is pyrometasomatic mantos, pods, and lenses of Zn-Cu and minor Pb carbonates and sulfides, controlled by faults, bedding planes, breccia zones and intrusive dikes in garnetized Paleozoic limestone bordering Laramide alaskite and dacite porphyry intrusive. The ore zone strikes ENE and dips 63SE. A contact between quartz monzonite and limestone located at the mine. It averages a strike of S10W, 30E dip. No secondary enrichment; no oxide zone. Alteration includes tactite, garnetite and hornfels.

Many ore shoots are present and are stoped. Average height is 25 feet, average depth is 18 feet, and average length is 65 feet. Average strike is S10W, and the average plunge is 30 degrees. Shoots are very irregular. 273 to 454 foot level shoots reach over 100 feet in length.

Workings include underground openings comprised of shaft and tunnel operations of 740.66 meters length and 168.86 meters deep with many prospect pits and several adits. Worked since the early 1900's, but mainly from 1947, producing some 147,500 tons of ore averaging about 16% Zn, 1.3% Cu, 0.6 oz. Ag/T and minor Pb & Au.
