A former small surface and underground Pb-Ag-Zn-Cu-Au-Baryte mine group located in the SW ¼ sec. 26 & the SE ¼ sec. 27, T.17S., R.10E., 6½ miles NE of the Palo Alto Ranch. Produced 1885-1931. Owned at times, or in part, by the Lincoln Consolidated Mining Co.; the Nelson Brothers; J.E. Woods; Silverta Mining & Milling Co.; and the Yellow Bird Silver Mines.

Mineralization is oxidized, argentiferous galena and sphalerite with minor copper in spotty replacement bodies in metamorphosed Paleozoic limestone; and argentiferous chalcocite, copper carbonates and oxides in shattered Paleozoic quartzite, and including carbonate boxwork after chalcopyrite. Paleozoic beds infolded in mesozoic sediments and volcanics. Alteration included quartz-sericite-pyrite.

Local structures include Paleozoic beds folded with Mesozoic sediments and volcanics.

Workings include shaft, tunnels, and open cuts. Prospected and worked in the late 1800's for high-grade Pb-Ag ore and sporadically from 1905 to 1931 producing some 65 tons of ore at 14% Cu, 12 oz. Ag/T and minor gold.
