A Pb-Ag-Mn-Cu-Au-Mo mine located in South-central sec. 23, T.17S., R.10E.
Mineralization is manganiferous veins and replacement lenses containing spotty, oxidized argentiferous galena and minor sulfides with wulfenite in fractured and metamorphosed Paleozoic limestone.
Workings include shafts and pits. Worked by 'chloriders' for silver in the late 1800's and by prospectors in 1937-1938. Total production was only some 100 tons between the Big Johnny & Little Johnny Mines. Ore averaged over 20 oz. Ag/T with good lead values and minor copper.
