A former small surface and underground Ag-Au-W mine group located in the SW ¼ sec. 25, T.14S., R.4W., 19 miles SE of Ajo. Started before 1917. Owned at times, or in part, by A.W. Bramwell & J.J. Sullivan (circa 1917); the Gunsight Gold & Tungsten Mining Co.; Jones; Greer; Myers; and, Turners.
Mineralization is shear zones with lenticular, oxidized, iron-stained, quartz veins containing pockets of enriched gold, minor silver, and spotty scheelite cutting a weathered Laramide granitic pediment. The principal vein strikes N.30ºW. to N.60ºW. and dips steeply, and is 1.22 meters wide. They consist of shear zones 3 to 4 feet thick.
Workings include open cuts and several shafts 80 to 100 feet (30.48 meters) deep. Prospected and worked sporadically since the late 1800's. Produced probably some 50 tons of 1 oz. Au/T ore and a few tons of scheelite ore. The deposit was worked about 1917 with an output of about 1 ton od scheelite ore.
