A former small underground Pb-Ag-Cu-Zn-Au mine located in the SE ¼ sec. 8, T.18S., R.17E., 9 miles SSW of Pantano. Operated 1925-1950. Owned/operated at times, or in part, by E.P. Hilton; and the Dubernac Mining Co.
Mineralization is irregular replacement orebodies of base metal carbonates and minor sulfides in faulted Permian limestone invaded by Laramide intrusive dikes (diorite). Alteration includes massive sulphide gossans.
Workings include shaft operations. Worked from the early 1900's and in the 1920's and 1930's. Produced some 4,800 tons of ore averaging about 35% Pb, 8 oz. Ag/T, and minor Cu, Zn, & Au.
