Structure: Wichita Mountains Lugert Granite Intrusive In Reformatory Granite, With Gabbro Xenolith

Deposit: Polk (1948, p. 16, 18, 62, 67, map) and merritt (1958, p. 11-13, 15, 23-24, 36, 42, map) discuss the geology and location of these pits. At surface on side of hill at contact between lugert granite porphyry to s W and gabbro xenolith to ne. Discovery year: 1905-1910?
Geology: The reformatory granite intruded through gabbro, stoping a gabbro xenolith, and then the lugert granite intruded, stoping more of the xenolith, with hydrothermal solutions working through all of the rocks. Polk (1948) and merritt (1958) discuss the geology.
