A former small surface Ag-Au-Pb-Cu-Zn mine located in the SE ¼ of sec. 5, T.22S., R.10E., 2½ miles S of Arivaca and ¼ mile S of the Ajax Mine. Produced 1900-1933. Owned at times, or in part, by the MCM Mining & Milling Co.; Rowcroft; Crawford; Guadalupe Mining Co.; and the Leda Mines Consolidated.
Mineralization is partly oxidized argentiferous galena and other sulfides, in lensing quartz-fissure veins cutting metamorphosed Cretaceous sedimentary formations. Surface weathering present.
Workings include relatively shallow openings worked intermittently from prior to 1900 to 1933, producing some 100 or more tons of ore averaging about 63 oz. Ag/T, 1 oz. Ag/T, 10% Pb and 4% Cu.
