A former Pb-Ag-Mo-Au-V-W occurrence/mine located in the SW¼NE¼NE¼ sec. 17, T3S, R10E, SBM, secs. 16 & 17, T3S, R10E, SBM, about 13.4 km NNW of Monument Mountain (summit), N of Fried Liver Wash, on the southern slope of the northern Hexie Mountains, on National Park Service land (Joshua Tree National Park) (previously private (patented) land. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 100 meters.
Mineralization is hosted in gneiss. Local rocks include Precambrian rocks, undivided, unit 2 (Mojave Desert and Transverse Ranges) and/or Precambrian granitic rocks, unit 1 (Eastern Mojave Desert).
Workings include unspecified underground openings (the topo map reflects 2 shaft symbols labeled "Eldorado Mine" at this point).
Brown (1923) reported small production during WWI.
