Everything north of the road has been reclaimed as farmland. The excavation immediately south of the road has also been filled but remains as rough ground. The extension by the southern boundary of the field has been partly filled with farm rubbish but the shaft collar shown on the Ordnance Survey map of 1905 is still apparent. A bank of spoil is slowly falling in to the depression but plenty of hematite can be found. Jan., 2021.
