Located in the southern portion of the DGC sett on an east-west copper lode close to the A390 road. There is a flooded adit on the river bank apparently following the strike of the lode. The site has very extensive sand dumps but these are much overgrown with healthy vegitation suggesting the arsenic content is lower than other dumps on the DGC sett. However, the stream which flows through the dumps emerges with a blueish tint and the streambed has green secondary copper mineralisation on many of the stones. The top end of the workings has several shafts and buildings as well as the remains of an 18 inch diameter iron pipe presumably used to un-water the mine. Jan 2005.
