Deposit: Sample 2854 was chipped from a vein at the head of the canyon that may have been one of the sources of the gold in the placers. The vein was a quartz, iron-stained breccia that had been prospected historically by hand and by a dozer. Sample 2855 was from 2 very interesting looking vein materials within the placer material, which included quartz with sulfides and possible au, ag. Sample 2856 was from an apparent tungsten prospect on a ridge overlooking the placers.
