Deposit: Shear zone on shale-diorite contact; parallel shear zone to east within diorite, pods of white quartz along the zone, some hematite staining, vein 0.5-1.0 ft wide within shear zone 5-6 ft wide. Old workings are confined to the diorite and to the western contact zone.
Deposit type: Low-sulfide Au-quartz vein
Geology: Shale-dike contact on east side is very sharp, N 35 e, 80 SE dip. On western shaley-hornfels-dike contact, thin (1-1.5 in) quartz viens lace diorite
Rock formation(s): Auld Lang Syne Group
Ore(s): N 30 E Shear Zone; Shale-Diorite Contact
