A former small underground Cu-Ag-Mo-Pb mine located on a group of claims in the NE¼ sec. 17, T.23S., R.16E. (protracted), between Augusta and Morning Glory Mines on the SW side of Harshaw Creek (1/3 mile north of the Morning Glory Mine), in an open gulch, 2.5 miles SW of Harshaw, at an elevation of 5,400 feet, on National Forest land. Owned at times, or in part, by the Endless Chain Mining Co., of Oklahoma.

Mineralization is relatively narrow (0.76 meters wide), roughly banded, mineralized replacement of brecciated, pyritic quartzite by sulfides and sulfosalts in Cretaceous Bisbee sedimentary formations, that dips 70SE.

The orebed seems to be a 2½ foot thick in Paleozoic slaty, dense, light gray, brecciated, pyritic quartzite, dipping 70º SE.

Rhyolite in the area forms dikes and intrusive sheets in limestone. The sedimentary beds strike approximately N-S and dip 65-70W. The limestone in the vicinity is in part silicated, cherty, or flinty, with some interbedded strata of quartz.

Tectonic elements include the UX Ranch Fault Block.

Workings include an inclined shaft and drifts, and a tunnel a little farther downstream (Cunningham tunnel). About 100 tons of copper-silver ore were produced prior to 1900. Production records are not available.
