A former small surface and underground Cu-Ag-Au-Pb-Zn-Mn mine located in the center of sec. 35, T.22S., R.15E, 12 miles NE of Nogales, on National Forest land. Produced 1957-1969. Owned/operated at times, or in part, by Gray; Conley; Nelson; and the Keck Copper Co.

Mineralization is disseminated pyrite, chalcopyrite, and minor galena and sphalerite associated with quartz on fractures and joints in epidotized, sheared and silicified Triassic sediments. The deposit is oxidized near the surface with some supergene enrichment.

Workings include shaft and open cut operations. Prospected originally in the late 1800's but mined mainly for leaching ore from 1957 through 1969. Mined mainly for leaching ore. Produced some 400 tons of ore averaging about 1.7% Cu, 1.6 oz. Ag/T, and minor Zn, Pb, and Au.
