A former small surface and underground Ag-Pb-Au-Cu-Zn (U-Mo-V) mine located in the NE¼ sec. 3, T.24S., R.12E, E side of Pena Blanca Canyon, on National Forest land. Owned/operated at times, or in parts, by Keltz & Allen; Miller; Blankenship; Pyeatt; Cason; and, Graybill.

Mineralization is spotty, oxidized argentiferous lead ores with pyrite and minor chalcopyrite, secondary minerals and traces of uranium in irregular, lensing, and narrow fissure zone cutting Cretaceous quartz latite volcanics. Silver and gold pockets in oxidized pyrite gossan.

Workings include shaft, adit, and open cut operations totaling 60.96 meters in length. Shafts filled with water, 2 adits 15-150 feet long. Worked prior to 1900 and sporadically from 1924 through 1969, producing over 300 tons of ore averaging about 60 oz. Ag/T, 33% Pb, 0.3 oz. Au/T and minor Cu.
