A Au-Ag-Cu-Pb-Zn mine located in the South-central sec. 18 & North-central sec. 19, T.23S., R.11E. Owned at times, or in part, by Huntington; Pyeatt; Hack; Anderson; Roxy Mining Co.; and, Bruce.
Mineralization is a 3 to 4 foot wide, lensing quartz vein along a fault zone with pyrite strings and associated, disseminated, base metal sulfides, largely oxidized and supergene enriched to secondary sulfides and other minerals. The wall rock in the Warsaw Mine is Jurassic diorite.
Workings include a 300 foot deep shaft (1881), drifts, crosscuts and adit openings. A 10 stamp mill and roaster were installed on the property. Located in the late 1800's and produced through 1964. Production was some 800 or more tons of ore averaging about 11 oz. Ag/T, 0.2 oz. Au/T, 2% Cu & 1% Pb.
