Small disused quarry workings located to the south-west of Beacon Road on the flank of the hill known as St Agnes Beacon.
The linear form of the workings and their orientation along with the presence of an old shaft on a horse of ground between the pits suggest that these may have originally started out as 'coffan' type workings on the outcrop of a lode.
Historic geological mapping indicates that the Wheal Coit Lode is shown lying immediately adjacent to the quarry.
