The Brimpts Tin mines are located in an area running from the Southern slopes of Laughter Tor to just west of Dartmeet, Dartmoor. The sett consists of two mining operational areas known as North Mine at SX653751, and South Mine at SX669738. North mine today consists of two fenced shafts ( Engine Shaft and Adit shaft ( New Engine Shaft), a number of overgrown trial (costean) pits and some low remains of buildings. There is a collapsed adit running south from the main workings and some remains of dressing floors below this.
