Small prospect on a small skerry in the river Otra, 7 km north of Kristiansand, and about 1km N of Kvernvolden station (Strai).

The silver occurred in a 6-7 cm wide calcite vein in sulphide-bearing gneisses and amphibolites. The silver was found as thin leaves between the rock and the calcite vein.
The occurrence has been compared with the fahlband-type geology of Kongsberg. It is assumed that the prospect produced 12-15 kg of silver.
Today, a road has been built on top of the Hagen skerry, and the locality is lost.

Bugge (1920) considers it likely that similar localities may be found in the area, and it has been claimed that small silver specimens were found in material from a railroad tunnel nearby.

The coordinates are an estimate, and are based upon clues given by Breivik (2018).
