A Pb-Ag-Zn-Cu-Au (Ba) mine group on 5 claims located in the NW ¼ sec. 33, T.22S., R.16E., just SW of the Wieland group. Owned at times, or in part, by the Jefferson Mining Co.; and, the Mumme Mining Co.

Mineralization is narrow quartz-barite veins containing rich, oxidized lead-silver ore in the upper part and mixed argentiferous lead, zinc and copper sulfides in depth. Wall rocks are Cretaceous andesite and rhyolite volcanics.

There are 2 east-west persistent veins about 600 feet apart.

Workings are shaft and tunnel operations. This group of mines produced some 500 tons of ore averaging about 21% lead, 20 oz. Ag/T, 3% Zn, 2% Cu and minor gold prior to 1900. A few tons of ore were produced in the 1900's.
