Floreffe is a Walloon municipality located in the Belgian province of Namur.
The municipality consists of the following sub-municipalities: Floreffe proper, Floriffoux, Franière, and Soye.
"The millimetre-sized [gypsum] crystals described by Bellière (1833) at Floreffe, in cracks of loamy clay, are probably related to the proximity of an old sulfuric acid factory. They are elongated according to [001], flattened according to {010}, striated and show the combination {010}{120}{111} with sometimes {100} and {001}." (Hatert et al., 2002)
