Cu-sulphide mineralisations occurrring in thin (0,01-1 m) ductile shear zones, developed in grey coarse-grained and weakly gneissic granodiorite (1734 Ma).
The Antoinette mine worked a 20 m long, well-mineralised segment of ENE-WSE quartz veins (Ihlen 1995).

The NGU has registered, apart from the Antoinette mine as being the main mine, the Dagny mine and a western prospect. However, there seems to be some confusion in the NGU locality description. The coordinates of the Dagny mine (60.4592408,11.5834992) are for a spot SE of the Antionette mine, whereas the description says the Dagny mine is located SW of Antoinette, and only remaining are two shallow pitsat both sides of the road, while most of this mine is now burried under the road.

The coordinates for the western prospect are : 60.4587908,11.5811892. This one is located ca. 60 m W of the main pity, according to the NGU. These coordinates point to a spot exactly on the road, which would seem to agree with the location of the Dagny mine.

The ore of the Antionette mine comprises shear-zone stringers, fracture filling and disseminated aggregates of mainly chalcopyrite, bornite, molybdenite and scheelite in ductively deformed quartz veins. Random samples studied by the NGU yielded values of up to 2,3 g/t Au and 175 g/t Ag. Hornemann (1917) reported values of 5,16% Cu, 60 g/t Ag and og 1,5 g/t Au.

The ore zones of the Dagny mine comprised disseminated chalcopyrite, bornite, magnetite and minor molybdenite, associated with epidote/chlorite/calcite, in ductile shear zones.
