A former underground Ag-Pb-Zn-Cu-Au-Baryte-V-Sr-Mn-Fe mine located on 5 claims in East-central sec. 2, T3N, R17W, 20 miles E of Quartzsite, on federal land. Discovered 1921. Owned/operated at times, or in part, by Ramsey; R. & A. Mining Co.; Willamtho Co.; Black Mesa Mining Co. (operator); Perry & Morley; Ramsey Consolidated Mines Co.; Miller & Christofferson; Silver Star Mining Co.; and the M.M. Sundt Construction Co.

Mineralization is spotty, but often locally high-grade, oxidized lead, silver, zinc and copper ores with barite, celestite, vanadinite and manganese and iron oxides, in a relatively wide vein zone of fractures and fissures, strongly brecciated along the contact of Mesozoic limestone, quartzite, sandstone, and shale with Cretaceous or Tertiary rhyolite flows and tuff.

Workings include a shaft with several levels and tunnel operations. This mine was discovered in 1921 and worked nearly continuously through 1969. It produced some 8,400 tons of ore averaging about 35 oz. Ag/T, 1% Pb, 0.5% Zn, 0.1% Cu and minor Au. Eighteen cars of ore produced and shipped 1947.
