A former surface and underground Mn mine located in the SW¼SW¼SE¼ sec. 14, T7N, R16W, on land of unknown status. Owned/operated at times, or in part, by Dobbins; Hart; and the Linda K Mining Co. (1954). NOTE: Alternate coordinates provided: 33.9475N, 113.8847W.
Mineralization is manganese oxides with calcite and breccia in seams and veinlets in fracture zones in Cretaceous or Tertiary andesitic volcanics covering Mesozoic granite.
Workings include a shaft(s) and open cut operations. Some 30 long tons of high-grade manganese ore were shipped in 1918, and 1,500 to 2,000 long tons were mined and milled in 1953-1954 to produce 238 long tons of 32% manganese concentrates.
