In the nineteenth century, in the town of Jemielnica, layers were designated called "Himmelwitzer Dolomit". They were found in small quarries in the vicinity of Gąsiorowice (after shallow excavations there is no trace today, and some of them are made water ponds). They are rich, among others, in mollusc fossils, and the literature even mentions ceratites (early descendants of ammonites). There are also conglomerates of these dolomites. These layers appear locally in the area from Strzelce Opolskie, Otmice, Kosorowice, and reach Tarnowskie Góry and Bytom (JMK'19).
