An U occurrence/mine located in the approximate NW¼ sec. 14, T27N, R10E, G&SRM, SSE of Cameron. This locality is listed in the USGS MRDS database as a group file with the Yazzie No. 1 Mine. The geographic coordinates presented for this locality are approximate to the center of sec. 14.
Mineralization is an U deposit hosted in the Petrified Forest Member of the Chinle Formation. Uraninite occurs in an ore zone that is 4 feet thick and at a depth of 45 feet.
Workings include surface and underground openings comprised of 2 adits at the bottom of a 170 X 130 X 50 foot deep open pit.
Production was 5,646 tons of ore @ 0.20% U3O8; 0.01% V2O5 (1957-1961).
