Central European Volcanic Province
An old basalt quarry (Falmirowickie Kamionki) completely covered with vegetation and forest. The excavation is flooded. Tertiary basalt rocks are exposed in the highest part of the excavation, called the basalt hill and in places at the height of the water's surface. Basalts can also be found on small heaps, they are mixed with limestone and sand material.

In basalts can we see minerals as faylaite-forsterite series and augite and in basaltic amygdoidal rocks we can find more interest minerals. ..........................................................................

In 1886, the quarry was called the "Królewska Kopalnia". The extracted basalt was used to build roads and under railway sleepers.
