Earl Huskon #3
An U-V occurrence located in the SW¼ sec. 26, T32N, R9E, G&SRM, N of Cameron and about 7.6 km (4.7 miles) S of Willow Springs. This locality is not listed in the USGS MRDS database. The geographic coordinates presented are approximate to the center of the SW¼ sec. 26.
Mineralization is an U-V deposit hosted in sandstone of the upper Shinarump Member of the Chinle Formation. The ore is discontinuous carnotite-type mineralization.
Workings include surface openings comprised of open pits.
Production was 1,855 tons of ore @ 0.24% U3O8; 0.03% V2O5 (circa 1957).
