An U-V occurrence located in approximate sec. 29, T36N, R29E, G&SRM, on the W side of the ridge, near the Flag No. 2 Mine. The geographic coordinates presented are approximate to the center of sec. 29.
Mineralization is an U-V deposit with an ore body elongated parallel to the easterly trend of paleostream deposition in cross-stratified sandstone with abundant clay chips, carbon matter, and interstitial clay in the Salt Wash member. Beds strike N62W and dip l½°NE on the Chuska Syncline and are well jointed.
Workings include underground openings with room and pillar mining operations.
Production was 11,286 tons @ 0.24% U3O8; 1.01% V2O5 (1953-1957, 1964-1966).
