Quartz veins containing carbonates along late-Alpine faults near the hamlet of Tornadri.

Two well-known occurrences are located at Rusùn (or Russùn) and Val della Pisa.
At Rusùn (or Russùn), to the south of Tornadri, a quartz vein rich in cavities partially filled with calcite crops out. The cavities are lined with hyaline quartz crystals, attaining various centimetres in length and often partially coated with chlorite. Crystals with Dauphiné habit are quite frequent, sceptres are rare. Calcite forms large showy crystals, characterised by the combination of rhombohedron and scalenohedron and often containing internal thin layers of chlorite or limonite.
White or colourless lenticular crystals of dolomite, up to 2 cm, in association with chloritised quartz crystals, aragonite, and calcite are found at Val della Pisa, near Tornadri, along a fault marked by a breccia attaining 20 m in thickness.
