On June 20, 1998, at 17:25 hours local time, a large bolide was observed by people in several villages, and a loud whistling followed by a crashing noise was heard. A large mass impacted 30–50 m from several farmers in a cotton field, creating a 6 m wide, 4 m deep crater. A single stone weighing ~900 kg was recovered from the crater, and 1000–1100 kg was recovered in total.
The principal constituent minerals are pyroxene (Fs15.9) and olivine (Fa18.0).
