Andersen (1931) describes the locality as a few shallow pits where only a few tons of feldspar were mined.

Uraninite from this locality was used by Marie Skłodowska Curie (Madame Curie) in her experiments with radioactivity.

The pits are supposed to be ca. 300 m N of the western farm.
At the altitude map it is impossible to positively locate these prospects, and the coordinates are given for a point where it is tempting to believe this is actually a prospect.

UPDATE 2025
A visit 24-05-2025 confirmed that there is a small, very old quarry at these coordinates. The quarry is located at a high point in the wall, while beneath at the floor, a small dump could be located.

The pegmatite seems to be a 4-5 m wide dike in augengneiss, direction seemingly SSW-NNE.
