Fell: February, 19, 1956, in the early morning.
Total mass: about 2 kg (estimated)

Sinnai, an H6 ordinary chondrite, fell on February 19, 1956 at Funtanalada, on the periphery of Sinnai. It flew from the north and penetrated through the roof and the floor of one house and buried itself to a depth of 25 cm. The meteorite (about 2 kg in weight) break up into 7 frag­ments after the shock. Currently five fragments are known, weighing respectively 405 g, 355 g, 330 g, 245 g, and 140 g. The meteorite was investigated morphologically, mineralogically, chemically, and radiographically (Rossetti & Sitzia, 1958). Four fragments of total weight 1230 g are preserved at the Leonardo de Pruner Mineralogical Museum, University of Cagliari.
