A quarry that has yielded 500 tons of quartz and 500 tons of feldspar.

Andersen (1931)'s designation: "Åneland IV".

Andersen places this quarry 500 m S of the southern Åneland farmhouse. That can hardly be correct, since that would locate the quarry in the Kattedalen close to the northern Åmdal farm house. Unfortunately the the roads have been changed during history. And new farm houses have been built in the area. A reconstruction based on Andersen (1931)'s description is therefore very difficult. Also the information supplied by Stensrud (2009) doesn't help since he didn't place this quarry on his map.

At the indicated location a pegmatite quarry can clearly be seen on aerial pictures from 1972 and 2007. However, the surface is quite fresh, meaning that there must have been activity between 1927 and 1972.
That implies that there is an uncertainty regarding this quarry. It might be a completely new one, or they continued in a pre-existing quarry.
