Uranium ores and mineralizations in Permian schists (Briançonnais Domain).

The main mineralizations are located:
- to the N and E of Bric Balacorda (left side of Preit valley);
- at Grange Serre and Salabessa (right side of Preit valley).

A radiometric field survey of the territory was performed by the Italian National Agency for Nuclear Research (Comitato Nazionale per le Ricerche Nucleari) in 1956-57 and mining works were carried out by Somiren (a mining company owned by ENI). Near Pian Preit exploration galleries and shafts were mainly excavated at Grange Serra (1080 m in total length) and Salabessa (579 m in total length), to a lesser extent at Bric Balacorda.
